The strategy is to work with governments and the initial offerings are solution services related to ePassports, eBorders and eIDs. Smarticware will also address some non governmental bodies e.g airlines regarding eBorder solutions. From that position Smarticware will later make offerings in the other competence areas. Smarticware will use local agencies and partners to work with the local governments.
The governments in all EU member states and elsewhere are investigating how to use ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) to turn their countries into Information Societies. The European Commission has worked out an action plan for that work called eEurope (see www.europa.eu.int/eEurope). This plan fits very well into Smarticware's strategy to assist governments in this process.
