Smarticware has in-depth knowledge of ongoing and planned related European activities as well as the developments in other parts of the world and is familiar with relevant international and national standards and practices, is apt to support electronic travel documents, and has experience of their applications. We have the access to relevant standardisation bodies and industrial associations and have the access to an international range of technology suppliers.

SIS can be described in four simple words: “The House of Standards. ” SIS, Swedish Standards Institute develops Swedish and international standards and consists of three main areas. The largest area is SIS, Swedish Standards Institute.
The two other SIS areas are SIS Forlag AB, a full- service publishing house that publishes and sells standards and other publications, and SIS Forum AB, which provides education and consultation in interpreting and implementing standards. Both companies are wholly- owned subsidiaries of SIS.

WG3 / ICAO is the global standardisation body for all travel documents. ICAO is the UN department for civil aviation, and therefore set the rules for international passport handling as well as associated subjects.

EU DIGITAL PASSPORT STANDARDISATION GROUP is a project within EUs’ sixth framework programme. The aim is to bring forward techniques, products and logistics concerning new electronic passports and handling, in order to maintain Europe’s position in the global development of safer and more convenient boarder passages.
