The success of the Information Society in the 21st century depends on confidence in security technologies. The issue of security has shifted from reacting, to acting as a key issue in both the corporate and private spheres and one of the greatest challenges is the reliable identification of people and goods. The terrible events of September 11, 2001, marked a turning point for the issue of document security and have motivated an increased activity within this area, both by the public and by the policy makers. The traditional passport documents, the conventional boarder crossing checkpoints and boarding desks are changing shape to accommodate those new requirements.

Smarticware provides a secure and proven system for the processing of digital travel solutions by means of a boarder control terminal, that is equipped for extraction of biometric data, user-friendly interfaces and processing of the travel documents, interaction with a new automatic boarder control and check-in process in communication with external information systems.
Smarticware Digital Passport Delivery System solutions are working/set up/developed for applications enhancing requirements of security, convenience and efficiency. It assists the community in providing industrial tools required for the introduction of a new generation of electronic and digital passports in a manner that is consistent, regulation compliant and based on a robust application of leading-edge technologies. The passports are based on the combination of a traditional booklet with the new security and spearheaded communication technologies. We are using smart card technology and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) based security that also provides the capacity for encryption and creation of digital signatures, containing cardholder’s relevant personal data and biometric data, using large capacity IC chips that can provide extensive storage and support multi-applications, contactless processing, consistently positioned towards relevant standards and regulations.
Our implemented delivery systems and infrastructural solutions both on national and international level are conducted and are optimally managed to guarantee future proof results. Our delivery requirements support national and international directives, standards (e.g. International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and Schengen Information System) and industrial best practices.
